About the role Are you committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment? We are seeking a dedicated Relief Security Officer to help protect people and property across various sites. As a key part of our security team, you will be the frontline defender, monitoring activities and reporting any incidents using tools like wands and metal detectors. Position: Relief Security Officer Hours: Full time, 42 hours per week Shift Patterns: 4 on, 4 off Transport: Access to a vehicle or excellent transport links Requirements: 2 years’ experience in Security with a valid SIA licence. Job Description Protecting the customer’s employees, property, and other assets in line with the relevant Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements Display an outstanding level of customer service Patrolling duties Fire and safety responsibilities Take responsibility for problems that staff and visitors may have Display the highest standard of personal presentation and smartness of uniform to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer Answer telephone calls professionally and in accordance with the Assignment Instructions Book on at the beginning of each shift and make check calls in accordance with Company policy Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures Undertake any other duties as requested by the Branch Management Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company Essential Skills Valid SIA Licence Able to obtain BPSS Must be British National for the security level Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history. 2 years’ experience in security Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach Excellent risk management and problem-solving abilities Incident Management Good administrative skills, including incident report writing Proficient in IT and computer systems Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle complex situations A keen focus on providing excellent service to both staff and visitors Creating an Inclusive Environment Securitas is an all-inclusive employer, and we encourage individuality within our company.
