Job description
We are excited to announce we are actively seeking FTTP Area Manager in the Service Delivery department. The position will be covering areas within the East Midlands including Derby, Leicester, and Nottingham, and will be field-based, travelling to required sites in the area.
Salary - £37,000
Working Hours - Between 8:00am - 20:00pm (Monday - Friday)

As the FTTP Area Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers, providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback for their role. You will manage the local area, ensuring Service Delivery targets are achieved.
Your role will include:
1. Managing the team within budget constraints and seeking every opportunity to reduce costs and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
2. Ensuring all team members are skilled, kitted, and accredited to the standards expected by the client.
3. Managing the performance and continuous improvement of team members through development, recognition, effective communications, field visits, and FPQ checks.
4. Ensuring that each team member is aware of the team, their individual targets, and is committed to playing a full part in achieving them.
Technical Expertise & Service Delivery
1. Identifying opportunities for multi-skilling and cross-project working on the patch to help deliver the most efficient and effective field structure across MJ Quinn.
2. Seeking every opportunity to reduce costs and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
3. Ensuring safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.
Internal/External Partnerships
1. Developing and sustaining a strong working relationship with the client’s local operational teams, encouraging collaboration and best practice.
2. Working closely with the Operational Support Teams to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Attending operational review meetings with clients and General Managers as required.
Experience
1. Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry).
2. Holding a full clean UK driving license.
3. Computer literate.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
5. Willing to undertake relevant training and development.
Desirables:
1. Telecoms experience.
2. Managerial/supervisor experience.
3. Knowledge of the BT network.
4. Understanding of the Fibre network.
5. Full UK driver’s license.
