Key Results Area Tourism Ireland’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department is responsible for the implementation, configuration and support of Corporate ICT infrastructure, the development and support of business systems and ICT Corporate Compliance including ICT Security, Data Protection and Software Licensing. The Intern will gain experience working within the ICT team on various projects and in different sections of the department. Provide ICT support to Tourism Ireland’s user base. Assist with controlling network and application access by creating new network or system accounts and removing accounts no longer required according to a defined process. Assist with keeping the ICT hardware estate up to date with the latest patches at Operating System and application level. Monitor patch status using designated monitoring tools and highlight any areas of concern. Assist with the installation of licensed software packages across the organisation. Assist in carrying out builds for new hardware as directed. Liaise with ICT department suppliers in resolving technical, security or licensing issues. Provide general office administration support to the ICT Corporate Compliance Team. Assist with the testing and documentation of IT systems. Provide general office administration support to the ICT Team. Ensure adherence to the company’s GDPR compliance policies and procedures in respect of your area of work. Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require. The Person Essential • Currently pursuing an ICT related undergraduate degree. • Knowledge of the following: Networking and PCs IT system testing ICT Security Software patching & installation Data Protection User support • Must be returning to complete studies after the completion of the placement. • The legal right to live and work on the island of Ireland for the full duration of the programme. • Fluent English, both oral and written, is required. • Proficient in MS Office • These challenging roles require confident individuals who are: Professional and highly motivated Team-focused Proactive and have the desire to develop and learn.
