Shift Quality Auditor

We seek a highly motivated and ambitious Shift Quality Auditor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, hardworking individual who is tenacious in ensuring our products and processes are to the highest standards.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Shift Quality Auditor will be responsible for daily inspection, testing and auditing activities of the manufacturing and assembly processes. Working alongside quality engineers, you will be directly responsible for the overall product quality of finished goods, ensuring all specification and testing requirements have been met and that all incoming materials are fit for purpose.
You will work a 4 on 4 off days/nights shift pattern. A flexible, 'can do' attitude is therefore paramount.
The role will include, but not be limited to:
1. Reviewing and understanding drawings and specifications relating to product requirements.
2. Monitor moulding and assembly operations to ensure they meet production standards through daily auditing.
3. Identifying and escalating non-conformities when found.
4. Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
5. Daily measurement of products to critical dimensions using calipers gauges or micrometers.
6. Operating electronic inspection/test equipment and software.
7. Conducting ad hoc and routine testing in line with departmental requirements.
8. Reporting inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures grades, moisture content and quantities.
9. Identifying product and process improvements.
10. Follow-up on corrective actions for concessions and non-conformities.
11. Daily auditing of production areas for housekeeping and 5S.
12. Archiving of production records & documentation.
13. Actively participating in CI and H&S initiatives.
Who you are?
Desirable skills would be:
1. Experience working in a manufacturing environment operating within an ISO derived quality management system.
2. Good working Knowledge of Injection moulding and manual assembly processes.
3. Ability to interpret drawings and take critical dimensions against these.
4. Ability to understand and work to standard operating, testing and measurement procedures.
5. A hands-on methodical approach to work, with a positive can-do attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
6. A team player, happy interacting with colleagues at all levels and across different departments.
7. Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions and work under own steam.
8. Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills.
