Moore SGD Law (part of the Moore Kingston Smith Group) is a dynamic law firm offering a full range of legal services, uniquely positioned to help businesses, families and individuals realise their ambitions.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing legal team. You will work closely with senior solicitors, providing comprehensive legal drafting and tax advisory services to clients. This role offers the potential for a training contract for the right candidate.
Based in our City office on Appold Street, this role follows a hybrid working policy (typically three days in-office, subject to client and business needs).
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting legal and factual research.
* General administrative support, including preparing, printing and scanning correspondence and client documents, assisting with completion meetings (physical and by DocuSign) and managing data rooms.
* Managing documents, databases, and diaries (electronic & hard copy).
* Assisting with drafting, reviewing correspondence, forms and documents.
* Updating transactional documents and correspondence.
* Collaborating with company, commercial, private client and property solicitors.
* Assisting with preparing legal updates for internal communication.
* Proofreading and ensuring document accuracy.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* A high standard of oral and written English (especially grammar and spelling).
* High levels of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail.
* A careful and methodical approach and the ability to cope with repetitive tasks.
* Previous paralegal experience.
* Experience of private client, property, and/or company and commercial law.
* LLB (or non-law) degree and successful completion of LPC (or its equivalent).
* Experience of working in a fast-paced professional services environment.
* Computer literate.
* Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
* Ability to take responsibility and demonstrate initiative when the situation arises.
