Candidate Profile
We are looking for Activity and House Leaders who are hard-working, energetic, reliable, organised, safety-conscious and professional at all times and for those who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the well-being of our students and, ultimately, the success of the programme.
We aim to give students an educational, culturally-enriching and memorable summer experience in a safe and supervised setting and we are looking to employ staff who will accept this responsibility, and have the necessary wide-ranging skills, experience and commitment to help us achieve this goal.

* Applicants with sports coaching qualifications are preferred, especially in tennis, football, rugby, cricket and basketball.
* First aiders and life-guards are particularly welcome.
Experience
* Previous experience of working with children is essential, as is the ability to lead a wide range of sports and activities.
* Though not essential, previous Summer School experience and/or experience of working with international and residential students would be an advantage.
* Professional experience in a residential context would be advantageous.
* A strong awareness of Health & Safety would be preferred.
Compensation
From £655 per week.
Statutory holiday pay is paid pro-rata with each salary payment on top of the stated weekly salary.

Working Day
A typical day begins with a meeting with the Activities Manager to finalise plans for the day, then preparation for the afternoon and evening sessions.
During the afternoon, you will be leading or assisting in a wide range of sports, activities and clubs. Some of the activities may be off-site; for example, visiting an outdoor activities centre or accompanying students on a shopping trip, to their horse riding, golf or flying lessons.
After afternoon activities, Activities Leaders supervise students during their free time, organise extra activities, show staff presence around the campus or are involved in specific duties such as house supervision.
In the evening, after supervising dinner, Activities Leaders organise and lead social events where the whole school usually gets together for entertainment such as karaoke, quiz night, Bede’s Got Talent, swimming gala, Blind Date or Generation Game.
At the end of the day, after supervising students’ evening free time, Activities Leaders make sure that students are back in their houses and in their bedrooms and ready for bed in time for lights out.
