We are looking to recruit job coaches to join our Supported Employment team. A job coach supports people in the workplace, enabling them to meet the expectations of the employer. You will use your previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to develop discreet supportive techniques and strategies, enabling participants to thrive in the workplace. The role is extremely rewarding and varied. You could be working in a range of employment settings with participants who have a variety of support needs. Cheshire West and Chester Council successfully delivers a wide range of high-quality skills and employment support to residents. We have a dedicated Supported Employment Service which specialises in supporting adult residents with learning disabilities and or autism to find and sustain paid employment. Our team consists of experienced employment support officers who are successful at finding suitable paid employment for participants. We do this by carefully matching skills, experience and aspirations to local employers and jobs. Once in employment a job coach continues to support both the participant in the workplace and employer to ensure the role can be sustained, is delivered to the required standard and is rewarding and fulfilling for our participants. The role is a casual position. There are no set/minimum hours as the work is in response to our participants who are starting paid work.
