Head Of Physical Education Start Date: September 2025 or sooner Pay Rate: Payed to scale for ALL long-term placements Working Pattern: Full-time, Long-term Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a full time Head of Department to effectively lead and manage our partnered Seconday School's Physical Education Faculty. You will be responsible for improving teaching and learning within the department, developing staff in their team and developing the PE curriculum across the school. You will also have planning, marking and extra curricular responsibilites. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the PE department. • Develop and implement a PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students. • Promote a positive and inclusive PE culture. • Support and mentor PE teachers across the school. Qualificati ons and Experience: • Qualified PE teacher with a proven track record of leadership. • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in a variety of sports and activities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience in developing and implementing PE curriculums. To be successful within this role, you must be able to prove an outstanding record of supporting other PE teachers and developing/implementing the UK Physical Education Curriculm.
