Job Summary
Overview
The Associate Director, Report Production is a strong content-creation allrounder, responsible for supporting multi-channel delivery of key content campaigns in the service of the Bank’s narrative, including annual and half-year reports. Our ideal candidate will:
* Be passionate about storytelling and full of creative and innovative ideas for impactful corporate content.
* Be an expert communicator with superior writing skills who can work seamlessly across content formats, from long-form articles to social-media copy, video and infographics.
* Have a sound understanding of best practice in corporate content, and stay tuned to latest corporate campaign trends, in the financial sector and beyond.
* Be well-organised and a fast learner, with experience of working on complex, timebound, multiple-stakeholder projects.
The Associate Director, Report Production, will help the Bank meet its business objectives, by telling our stories in ways that break new ground, differentiate us as a business, and improve our reputation with our corporate stakeholders, clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
* Help position Content & Production as a centre of excellence for best-in-class, global corporate content, keeping an eye on latest industry trends to assist in bringing content innovation into the Bank.
* Be curious about reporting regulatory change, trends and future impact to our reporting requirements and planning.
Business
* During the annual reporting season, support the Director Report Production and wider project-management team (PMT) with writing of key content such as case studies; proofreading and editing for narrative consistency; planning and running meetings; and liaising with internal stakeholders and agencies for smooth delivery.
o Content creation/support and stakeholder management for awards and case-study sections of the Annual Report, ensuring content quality standards and deadlines are adhered to.
o Assisting the Director, Report Production to develop, and agree internally with CABM leadership, the creative brief and theme for the annual report. Liaise with external agency to ensure brief is maintained during development and final report production.
o Ensure the annual report adheres to our brand objectives and guidelines.
* Outside the annual reporting season, support the Head, Content & Production, and the wider team, working with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to develop and deliver content, including articles, social posts, graphics, podcasts and videos.
o Proofread, copy edit and revise content, meeting our bar of excellence.
o Report on content performance against agreed objectives and key results.
Processes
* Help to ensure continuous improvement in Content & Production’s processes, including planning, performance measurement and reporting.
* During the annual and half-year reporting cycles, take ownership of:
o Control, governance and management of users and software requirements for the online editing system used by the Bank.
o Planning and organisation of photography of the Bank’s Management Team and Board, and other imagery for the annual report, including retouching and meeting print-quality requirements.
o Plan and manage overall reporting timeline to ensure milestones are met throughout the cycle. Review and control timings challenges with the Director, Report Production and PMT to mitigate project bottlenecks.
o Support with key milestone draft submission process.
o Planning and management of all key internal stakeholder meetings and external agency weekly status meetings.
o Support with end-of-project retros/debriefs to capture lessons learnt and integrate into future report planning and execution.
o Support PMT to review and update master annual report handbook at the end of each cycle.

* Support Content & Production colleagues to deliver high performance across the team.
* Look for opportunities to learn from colleagues, and join internal and external training programmes and events to build and maintain excellent content-creation skills.
* Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders across the Bank.
* Seek every opportunity to build understanding of the Bank’s business, strategy, markets and performance.
* Be bold, confident and vocal when identifying opportunities to improve/streamline a process, ensuring Content & Production aligns with the Bank’s ‘Fit for Growth’ programme.
Risk Management
* Support Report Production and the wider Content & Production team in adhering to the Group’s operational risk management framework.
* Manage for reputational risk, flagging and escalating issues as appropriate.
* Be responsible for the safe control and dissemination of confidential and market-sensitive content and data, internally and externally.
Governance
* Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, as well as the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
* Help ensure continuous improvement and excellence in the governance of content creation and financial-report production.
* Manage and own key governance and risk processes for the annual and half year report projects, including stakeholder communications, secure record keeping supporting internal controls and compliance.

The role is suited to candidates with a background in corporate communications, publishing, digital media and PR, as well as experience of working for a large, multinational organisation. Banking-sector experience is a plus, but not essential.
