Description As a Trainee Accountant, you will work as part of a team on accounts and audit assignments both within the office and at client premises. The Junior will provide support on a wide range of accounting services, including audit engagements, tax returns and management accounts. Key Responsibilities Preparation of accounts working paper files from client’s records, producing Limited company statutory accounts and income and expenditure accounts for self-assessment tax returns. Work as a member of a team on audit assignments, completing testing as directed by the audit senior. Tax computations and VAT returns preparation. Communication with clients to obtain records, raise queries or request additional information on accounts preparation assignments. Report list of points arising for discussion with manager. Agreeing budgets prior to commencing work and completing timesheets to report time spent. Key Requirements Working towards AAT, ACA, ACCA qualification (desirable). Comfort and proficiency with numbers. Attention to detail and process-driven mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Dependable and reliable team player with a professional manner. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong organisational and time management skills.
