Band 4 Postgraduate Coordinator - Postgraduate Medical Education

We are looking for talented and highly enthusiastic individuals to join the Postgraduate Medical Education team. Postgraduate Medical Education is responsible for supporting the education and training of all junior doctors within the Trust, including Doctors in Training Posts and Locally Employed (Trust appointed) Doctors.

The role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. It involves communicating with a wide range of people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation. We seek individuals who are self-starters and can perform both autonomously and as part of a team. You will manage and prioritise a highly demanding and complex workload, requiring meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to tight deadlines.
You will possess excellent IT skills and be able to provide, receive, and process multifaceted data to meet desired outcomes. A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt quickly to operational issues and unforeseen challenges are essential for supporting the smooth running of our services.
Main Duties of the Job
University Hospitals Birmingham currently has 1 full-time and 1 part-time position available due to the expansion of our Postgraduate Medical Education service. Both positions will be based at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham; however, travel may be required to other University Hospital Birmingham sites to ensure the needs of the service are met.
All vacancies are offered as permanent.

Working Pattern:
* 09:00am until 17:00pm (7.5hrs daily) Monday to Friday
* 09:15am until 15:00pm (5hrs 45mins) Wednesdays
* 09:00am until 17:00pm (7hrs 30mins) Thursdays
* 09:00am until 17:00pm (7hrs 30mins) Fridays

Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 in Business/Administration
* GCSE in Maths
* Evidence of continued development
Experience
* Relevant previous experience in Postgraduate Medical Education
* Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Good working knowledge of internet navigation
* Good understanding of the education processes for junior doctors
* Work experience in the NHS or healthcare sector
Additional Criteria
* Willingness to develop skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field
* Enthusiastic and self-motivating
* Flexibility in working hours in response to workload demands
