Who We’re Seeking: The Legal team at Omaze is responsible for protecting the company's interests by providing long-term strategic direction and day-to-day operational support. The Senior Legal Counsel (Consumer and Privacy) will play a key role in supporting Omaze’s consumer, privacy, compliance and commercial contracts functions in the UK. What You’ll Do: Marketing and consumer law. Review and advise on marketing materials, website copy, promotional rules, and consumer communications. Draft and maintain marketing policies and provide marketing and consumer law internal training. Keep up to date with legislative developments/ trends with UK marketing and consumer law. Data protection and compliance. Working closely with Omaze’s Data Protection Officer, provide legal advice and assistance on a wide range of data protection matters, including conducting LIAs and DPIAs, negotiating data processing agreement, cookies and similar technologies compliance, policy maintenance and running internal training. BAU legal support. Review, draft, edit and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, residential property purchase agreements, charity partnership agreements and update & maintain template repositories. Risk management. Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure agreements, communications, and other corporate materials properly reflect company risk tolerances. Compliance. Anticipate and proactively guard against legal and compliance risks by conducting research and providing analysis and advice on various matters and materials. Our Ideal Candidate: Qualified UK lawyer with 3 - 7 years of experience working in an in-house legal department for a fast paced B2C company or an internationally/nationally recognised law firm Law degree from a top-ranked law school Fluent in English required (fluency in another European language a perk) Significant consumer law, data protection and contract drafting experience with high proficiency in creating clear, understandable and risk based advice Significant experience advising on the the UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, the CAP & BCAP Codes and UK advertising laws Experience of working closely with senior leaders across the group providing relevant and timely legal advice that promotes business growth Unmatched organisational skills and unyielding attention to detail Extreme multi-tasker with excellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness to learn other practice areas and to become familiar with laws of other jurisdictions Willingness to do the tedious, detailed-oriented legal work that keeps Omaze running and can independently exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision Experience of prize draw, promotion and gaming laws a plus Experience of charity laws a plus Don’t quite meet all the above requirements?
