A Survey Technician's typical day will involve the following:
1. Repairing, servicing and calibrating equipment
2. Maintaining the procedures for the correct service and calibration of equipment
3. Providing telephone support to customers
4. Maintaining adequate stock of spare parts
5. Complying with all relevant health and safety legislation
6. Maintaining a good working relationship with other departments
7. Working within the quality procedures
8. Attending internal and external training courses as and when required.
The ideal Service Technician will have experience in (or qualification in) electronics; this will help with problem-solving and diagnosing issues.
The following will also be useful:
* Experience within the hire and survey industry
* An understanding of electronics and the use of multimeters and other test equipment
