Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) is looking for a visionary leader to spearhead our Patient Safety, Complaints, and Learning teams. As a pivotal figure in our organization, you will drive significant improvements in healthcare services for over 1.9 million residents, leveraging a budget of approximately £3.5 billion.
Role Overview:
As the Associate Director, you will champion the development and implementation of a safer and more responsive healthcare system. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of patient safety frameworks and an impassioned approach to leading change and fostering a culture of safety and learning across the healthcare spectrum.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop strategic initiatives to enhance patient safety and integrate comprehensive learning systems across our services.
2. Provide expert guidance and oversight to the Patient Safety and Complaints teams, ensuring alignment with national safety standards and effective complaint resolution.
3. Engage with a variety of stakeholders, including the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Medical Officer, to facilitate collaborative and matrixed working relationships.
4. Lead the adoption of the NHS Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and the Learn from Patient Safety Events Service (LFPSE), ensuring these frameworks significantly impact our strategic objectives.

Qualifications
* Registered Professional, i.e., Nurse, Member of relevant professional body
Patient Safety knowledge and experience
* Evidence of knowledge and experience in relation to the National Patient Strategy
