This unique role involves part-time food distribution and part-time Teaching Assistant support in Food Technology, ensuring students receive essential nutrition while also engaging in their learning. What You'll Be Doing: Tailored Support: Develop and implement personalised support plans for students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed. Engaging Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small group support during midday breaks and food tech classes, making learning fun and accessible. Progress Monitoring: Keep a close eye on student progress, offering feedback to teachers and adjusting strategies to ensure the best outcomes. Collaborative Teamwork: Participate in meetings to share insights and strategies, working together to support each student's unique journey. Inclusive Atmosphere: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. Creative Teaching: Use diverse instructional techniques to cater to various learning styles, making every lesson engaging and effective. Detailed Records: Maintain thorough records of student development, communicating with teachers, parents, and relevant parties to ensure everyone is on the same page. What We're Looking For: Experience: Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Empathy and Patience: A deep commitment to helping students with SEMH needs, showing patience and empathy in all interactions. Qualifications: Additional qualifications or training in special education are a plus but not required. Full Driving License: Must hold a full driving license and be available full-time.
