Filmhouse (Edinburgh) Ltd. (FEL) is a new charitable company established to relaunch and operate Filmhouse, Scotland’s leading cultural cinema.
Our vision is for Filmhouse to be a world class cinema for Scotland’s capital, contributing to the common good by connecting people with the full diversity of cinematic forms. After significant progress in fundraising and planning, we are now at the start of a major renovation of the premises at 88 Lothian Road, and plan to re-open the cinema in late spring 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a much loved arts organisation as it begins a new phase in its history. The Finance Support Officer plays a key supporting role in the organisation’s financial function. They are responsible for maintaining accurate and reconciled financial transactions on Xero accounting software; reporting; and providing support to the Finance Manager and the rest of the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping.
2. Updating databases.
3. Processing invoices and bills.
4. Coordinating payroll via an external service.
5. Performing other administrative tasks when required.
The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week. The role will be based on-site at Filmhouse on Lothian Road. We hope that the role will begin by early April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
