Main duties and responsibilities
Check and verify stock for despatch
Ensure stock is identified correctly, out of date stock must be segregated and moved to an appropriate area
Report stock issues directly to supervisor
Palletise and locate stock, when necessary, in accordance with specifications.
Ensure stock is picked in rotation and pallets are prepared ready for despatch.
Driving forklift and electrical pallet truck
Always keep work areas tidy and clean
Ensure the correct handling, palletising and storage of products to company and customer requirements in a manner that does not jeopardise product quality.
Scanning product to customers using portable handheld
Wrapping and loading pallets ensuring customer specification are met
Temperature checks - ensuring temperatures align with food safety
Knowledge and Experience - desirable
Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but full training will be given
Candidates with experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and able to work as part of a team.
Forklift license / electrical pallet truck license - desirable however full training provided
Skills and Qualities
Essential: Positive and can-do attitude, good time keeping, Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, ability to use own initiative, excellent communication skills, be keen and willing to learn
