Site Engineer - Wind Farm Earthworks Package - Norwich Area
A leading electrical engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a major offshore wind farm construction project in the Norwich area. This is an opportunity to contribute to a vital energy infrastructure project, ensuring reliable power for the region.
What You'll Do:
1. Play a key role in the construction of the wind farm, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols.
2. Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
3. Oversee setting out and leveling operations, ensuring the precise placement of structures and utilities.
4. Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
5. Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
6. Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards, including those specific to high-voltage electrical work.
What We Need:
1. Proven experience as a Site Engineer on wind farms or electrical infrastructure projects.
2. A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to substation construction, including knowledge of high-voltage systems.
3. Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software for setting out and leveling operations.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
5. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
6. A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards, particularly in a high-voltage environment.
