If yes, then look no further! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Stores and Support to join our team at our Folkestone Plant. In this role, you will be the backbone of our engineering function, ensuring that our inventory system operates like a well-oiled machine. You'll be responsible for maintaining an effective Engineering Stores system, ensuring that all required inventory is available in the right quantities, and driving down spare parts costs through savvy negotiation with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently book-out and manage stock parts via the SAP system.
2. Assist non-engineering users in locating stock parts.
3. Run weekly SAP re-order reports and manage stock levels.
4. Request quotes, raise orders, and enter data into the Engineering Spend Tracker.
5. Receive, check, and organize goods into the correct locations.
6. Handle parts requests, obtain quotes, and generate necessary paperwork for orders.
7. Collaborate with the Plant Engineering Scheduler to ensure all parts and tools for Planned Maintenance are ready and issued on time.
8. Enter engineering documentation into the SAP system and manage stock transitions.
9. Provide support during major plant breakdowns and analyze spare parts lists to avoid stock duplication.
10. Perform stock checks, audits, and manage returns to suppliers.
11. Train engineers in the use of stores systems and automated parts storage systems.
12. Communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager, Shift Managers, and Engineers about spare parts and other relevant updates.
13. Provide stores area KPIs as required by the business.
Education & Experience:
1. Experience with SAP is required.
2. Solid engineering background with mechanical and electrical qualifications.
3. Familiarity with boilers and the Permit to Work process is an advantage but not essential.
To excel in this role, you must have the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to data entry are crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to remain flexible and composed under pressure and tight deadlines.

This role reports to the Engineering Maintenance Manager and works 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
