CLC Transmission Services provide industrial painting and maintenance services to several Blue-Chip clients i.e. National Grid throughout the UK (primarily England & Wales). We are a standalone division within CLC Group with the rest of the company providing property maintenance across the UK.
Due to an ever-increasing workload, an opportunity has arisen for full-time employment of a Logistics Supervisor to aid our existing team. The role will be predominantly based at our branch office located in Leeds.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. To supervise, support and coordinate Division 18’s existing logistics team.
2. Ensuring delivery of work by the logistics team, as directed by the divisional Operations Manager & Office Manager.
3. Management of stock and equipment held within the warehouse and assisting with project allocation. This includes stocktaking and assisting the CLC Contracts Support Coordinator to ensure stock reserves are adequately maintained.
4. Forward planning and innovative working to ensure tasks are carried out to maximum efficiency (e.g., recognising the resources needed for specific tasks & ensuring that they are delivered as required).
5. Maintaining (to a tidy state – good housekeeping) the central Division 18 stores area; ensuring returns are correctly inspected and equipment is fit for use before being issued to site.
6. Delivery and collection of work equipment as required (dependent on current project locations throughout the UK).
7. Delivery and collection of work vehicles and CLC employees as required.
8. Completion of monthly work vehicle inspection records including defect reporting and minor vehicle maintenance (e.g., fitting new wipers, replenishing vehicle liquids, etc.).
9. Collection of work equipment and materials from suppliers.
10. Work equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning duties (including Personal Protective Equipment, drain-earth maintenance/testing/repair/new assembly, rope cleaning, etc., fire extinguisher servicing, PAT testing).
11. Work equipment defect identification, removal of faulty equipment from service and following correct procedures for replacement.
12. PPE kit assignment to new employees including initial inspections, data recording (serial numbers, etc.) & assisting to maintain the CLC PPE register.
13. Assisting with & undertaking 6 monthly recorded thorough inspections of work equipment including PPE (carried out by a competent person).
14. Completion of set working hours as defined in each employee’s employment terms and conditions.
15. When required, flexible working hours as directed by the divisional Operations Manager & Office Manager to suit the demands of project delivery.
Person Specification:
