This 12-month maternity cover, starting February 2025, involves managing a portfolio of contracts, leading supplier engagements, and supporting key business operations. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner by understanding their operations and business needs.
2. Leading supplier relationships, driving continuous performance improvement and ensuring the delivery of key contracts.
3. Collaborating with internal teams to develop demand forecasts and contributing to rolling three-year category plans.
4. Developing and implementing robust commercial solutions that align with business goals and drive innovation.
5. Preparing and managing high-quality contract documentation, including bidding, evaluation, negotiation, and post-award management.
6. Drafting and managing contracts, amendments, and Contract Management Plans, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance.
7. Ensuring the implementation of contractor HSES practices in collaboration with technical owners.
8. Operating independently within the organisation’s supply chain framework, leveraging professional expertise to ensure effective procurement strategies.
9. Acting as a key liaison between C&P, legal, insurance, and other risk-related functions, managing day-to-day matters and escalating critical issues as required.
10. Staying well-connected in the market, maintaining a strong network and staying informed about new opportunities and supplier developments.
About You:
1. Proven experience in contracts and procurement, with a solid understanding of category management and supplier engagement, ideally within the energy sector.
2. Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills, with a track record of leading complex negotiations and securing favourable outcomes.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
5. Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.
6. Leadership qualities, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
