HGV Technician needed Hayes Our client, a prestigious truck and bus manufacturer and dealer, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, and carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes brakes, suspension systems etc. Role: HGV Technician Hours: 0600hrs to 1430hrs/1400hrs to 2230hr; alternative Saturday mornings overtime, time and a half Location: Hayes Key responsibilities: Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance to company's standards Assist in the fault diagnosis process Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair Work with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence) Assist with roadside breakdowns Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accurately Ensure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructions Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllers Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained Requirements: City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Gained experience working on commercial vehicles IT literate. Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic/PSV Mechanic. LGV C E licence beneficial not essential.
