In addition to the 112 East Riding maintained schools we also work with some additional clients including some hull-based schools, academy schools and academy trusts. This enables us to offer stable contracted hours. To maintain our high quality service, we support our team by offering development opportunities including the Clerks Development Programme, the Governance in Academies programme and NGA Learning, along with many other benefits.
The working week is 18.5 hours Tuesday to Thursday, with occasional governing board meeting attendance on a Monday evening depending on the allocation of schools, which may include between 1 to 3 evening meetings per week, scheduled to work around your lifestyle. The majority of meetings serviced are held at schools throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire in the evenings (with some being held virtually). You therefore must be willing to work flexibly and whilst based at County Hall Beverley (home-based presently), must be able to travel extensively across the East Riding.
