Description
As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounts of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and fostering strong client relationships. In this role, you will work within a well-established team, providing high-quality accounting and financial services to our diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a portfolio of clients, leading client meetings, advising clients.
2. Provide industry leading insights, solutions and advice to build the firm’s reputation and client base.
3. Work and liaise with other members of the team as necessary to provide high quality client support.
4. Contribute to strategic and business planning to deliver an increase in revenue and profits.
5. Develop and maintain the highest standards of technical knowledge and expertise for self and others.
6. Manage a team of 4 (including bookkeepers), as well as the offshoring team based in India.
7. Ensure client work complies with all legal and ethical standards and statutory regulations.
Key Requirements
1. Must have ACCA professional qualification.
2. Must be able to commute between Newbury and Reading offices every week.
3. UK experience working within practice.
4. Good technical knowledge.
5. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and application of current UK accounting standards, tax legislation, technical issues and related matters, and updates team on new developments and standards.
6. Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
Additional Requirements
1. Good working knowledge of Excel and ability to learn and use bookkeeping packages such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc.
2. Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues at all levels.
3. A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, demonstrating strong professionalism, credibility, and confidence.
4. A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions.
