Our new Operations Engineering Supervisor will play a critical role in the delivery of MPD applications. Reporting to the Eastern Hemisphere Operations Manager & working closely with our Operations, Engineering & Design teams, you will employ technical knowledge to provide NOV's operations team and clients with technically compliant, professional solutions. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of engineering for wellsite operations including review of technical documents, equipment specification, equipment selection, operational training material, operational risk assessments. You will also be responsible for signing off operational procedures prepared by MPD supervisors and MPD Engineers, EOWR, Non-Conformance reports and field failure reports. You will liaise with Engineering to assist in the preparation of MOC forms to ensure all changes are conducted to correct equipment deficiencies, ensuring that Field Failure reports are effectively communicated to Engineering and closed out in a timely manner. You will be actively engaged in all matters of training and competency to ensure the most up to date material is checked for technical reference prior to any courses. You will also be actively engaged to ensure that material is available to align core crew competencies for operations. * Support all ongoing operations from an engineering perspective, understand & implement processes, and procedures for a high standard of project execution
* Facilitate the execution of the project scope, goals and deliverables from the perspective of equipment design, specification, operational procedures and sustaining engineering when equipment is deployed in the field.
* Develop & maintain generic MPD operations procedures, risk assessments, P&ID's, Training Plans, project schedules.
* Report Operations Engineering issues and solutions on a weekly basis to both management and end client, providing appropriate information such as drawings, procedures, technical specifications, or hydraulic modelling
* Compile & submit documentation on time, as required by internal and external clients.
* Attend client meetings & communicate actions to others for the successful completion of the project, ensuring customer care is at the foremost position.
* Support & assist Operations/Field/Project Engineers as necessary.
* Hold regular operations engineering meetings & implement noted actions.
* Ensure all engineering deliverables are in accordance with client requirements & the project schedule and assist in the expediting or mitigation actions.
* Checking and Peer Review of Technical Requisitions for any 3rd party design review or verification (ABS, DNV, etc.).
* Reporting any design changes which may have a cost or schedule impact to the relevant Project Team, Engineering Manager & Operation Manager.
* Investigate, resolve and document Engineering Queries in a timely and technically acceptable fashion.
Advanced Educational certificate HND/BEng/BSc (essential)
* MEng/MSc (desirable)
EXPERIENCE
* Ample MPD/UBD experience (essential)
* Experience in developing and running training programs for MPD, both customer and client led (desirable)
