Coded Welder Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen for a coded welder.. Please note that the main base for this role will beRenfrew Role and Responsibilities To ensure all welding and fabrications regardless of location are carried out safely and to a high standard. Contribute to design and installation of all projects you are involved in. Ability to read and interpret Engineering and fabrication drawings. Input to training requirements. Ensure timesheets are filled in correctly as shown and be punctual. Primary Objectives Welding and fabrication in a workshop environment Working knowledge of heavy pipe welding - Preferably coded in stainless steel Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality.Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural fabrication works and standards. Act with honesty, integrity and accountability Ability to work well in a team Qualifications and Experience Requirements An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role. Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include: Manual Metal Arc (MMA) Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG) Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding Machine/workshop power tools and machinery. Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
