Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while supervising staff and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is crucial for the smooth running of our floor operations, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive team environment. The floor manager will be in charge of co-ordinating the catering business and serving of the food at the restaurant. He/she will supervise and oversee the waiters and ensure quality of service to the customers. Additionally, the floor manager will be responsible for ensuring that the dining area is clean and in compliance with the statutory requirements.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
* Manage team dynamics, providing support and guidance to staff members in their roles.
* Assist with training new employees in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that meet customer preferences while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a high level of satisfaction is maintained.
* Assist in bartending duties when necessary, ensuring a well-stocked bar area and prompt service.
Experience
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or culinary industry is essential.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, production processes, and food safety standards.
* Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
* Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with bartending practices is an advantage but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
