Job summary
This post will provide support to our medical divisions, with their end-to-end recruitment process for all grades of medical staff. There will also be opportunities to gain experience in a variety of other medical staffing work tasks including temporary staffing processes, junior doctors in training processes and other project work.
This post is advertised as a part time job share of hours / 3 days per week and will cover Thursdays and Fridays as standard. The third day would be negotiable with Mondays-Wednesdays so provide cross over with the other post holder in the job share.
The Medical Workforce is a newly formed team in the last 12 months so this is a great opportunity to become part of an evolving team that has many different aspects to get involved with. The role would benefit someone who has previous experience of working on the TRAC recruitment system and a basic knowledge of medical recruitment and contracts.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for all medical vacancies within a specific clinical Division but also provide cross cover for the other Recruitment Officers within the Medical Workforce team.
The key duties for this role will be:
1. Identifying vacant posts and working with Recruiting Managers to raise vacancies.
2. Support Recruiting Managers with planning of shortlisting, interview and offers stages.
3. Identifying vacancies from our Doctor in Training post and maintaining changeover records of all incoming and outgoing rotational doctors.
4. Process on-boarding of all doctors.
5. Issuing of contracts, amendment to contracts and standard employment letters.

To work in partnership with Recruitment Team colleagues to provide a pro-active, solution focussed and high quality Recruitment Service within defined KPIs in order to achieve service objectives and outcomes. Contribute to the working procedures of the Team to support Employer of Choice Recruitment Officer is responsible for administering the Recruitment process, from end to end to include medical staff changeover and will actively engage with Recruitment Assistants, who undertake pre-employment clearances, to ensure the timely delivery of a quality recruitment service for all staff groups within allocated is important for the Recruitment Officer to develop and maintain positive working relationships with Recruiting Managers in order to provide a client centred Recruitment Service. The Recruitment Officer will provide advice to recruiting managers in order to ensure their recruitment is processed efficiently and in line Trust Policies and procedures, and with legislation and best practice.
Working together, the Recruitment Officers and Assistants will maintain a green dashboard within the TRAC Recruitment Management system each day and ensure that all messages are actioned within either defined KPIs .
