Health and Safety Manager Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Our prestigious client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their leading team in Stroud You will formulate and uphold H&S policies whilst creating and implementing H&S plans in alignment with legal requirements. The ideal candidate will also hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety and will be experienced in assessing practices, procedures, and carrying out risk assessments. Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager: Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety and accident prevention. Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions. Implement health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines. Assess risk and ensure adherence. Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities. Generate reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics. Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters. Identify improvement opportunities and implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines. Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims. Key Skills of a Health and Safety Manager: Previous experience in a Health & Safety position. Ability to generate reports and create appropriate H&S policies. Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines. Exceptional attention to detail and observational abilities. Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety. BSc/BA in Safety Management or a related field is desirable
