Your new role
The HR & Payroll Assistant will support the HR department in ensuring efficient and effective HR operations, includingpliance, Single Central Record (SCR) maintenance, payroll processing, recruitment initiatives, and general administrative tasks. The role will be pivotal in supporting the HR department and ensuring our HR functions' smooth operation, directly impacting the quality of our educational environment.
1. Assist in maintaining the school's Single Central Record (SCR) in line with safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
2. Support the HR Manager in ensuring the school'spliance with employment law and educational regulations.
3. Assist in staff verification checks and documentation.
4. Coordinate Safeguarding training and induction with the Deputy Principal, Pastoral and Wellbeing.
Payroll
5. Contribute to the payroll process by collating and verifying staff hours, leave, and other necessary payroll data.
6. Liaise with the HR Manager to answer any payroll-related queries.
Recruitment
7. Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview coordination.
8. Assist with the onboarding process for new staff members to ensure a smooth integration into the school environment.
Administration
9. Maintain up-to-date HR files and databases, ensuring confidentiality and data protectionpliance.
10. Ensure all staff information and documents are on Success Factors.
11. Ensure all DBS and Safeguarding records are up-to-date on Success Factors and Sphera.
12. Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Experience and Qualifications
19. Experience in HR administration, preferably within an educational setting.
20. Familiarity with payroll processes and recruitment procedures.
21. Good knowledge of employment law, particularly relating to schools.
22. Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
23. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
24. A-Level or Bachelor’s Degree in English or Maths
25. HR-related qualifications (desirable).
