About the Role:
MCMS seeks a highly motivated and experienced leader to drive our Global Land Mobile Radio (GLMR) strategy within the EMEA region. As the GLMR Program Manager for EMEA, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects related to our connectivity initiatives, ensuring seamless communication and mission-critical reliability. This involves leading and managing a team of Project Managers, acting as the point of escalation, and collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams, both internally and with external partners, to execute our global vision and deliver impactful results. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of global communication within the EMEA landscape.
Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management: Empower and manage a team of Project Managers, fostering collaboration and high performance across functional and geographical boundaries within the EMEA region. Assign tasks, set expectations, provide guidance, and act on behalf of the Regional Lead/Technical Program Manager (TPM). Ensure problems are resolved at the Project Manager level before escalation. Collaborate with the PMO team on process enhancement.
* Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic plans, goals, and objectives for GLMR programs within EMEA, aligning with overall organisational strategy and regional needs. Oversee the Project Managers’ project plans for allocated security systems aspects of physical security installations, ensuring alignment with SDS global standards.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with regional and local teams within EMEA to ensure seamless integration and alignment with global strategies, facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with REWS, Facilities, Food, and GSRS teams. Liaise with the site audit team to ensure high-quality installations. In some instances, it may be necessary to have high-level syncs with project executives on escalated concerns.
* Project Oversight and Monitoring: Oversee the planning, execution, and governance of security programs for physical security systems. Monitor and report on the performance of global operations within EMEA, identifying key metrics and driving data-informed decisions to optimize network effectiveness and user experience. Ensure projects stay on track, monitoring timelines and milestones, and taking corrective action as needed. Conduct post-implementation evaluations.
* Documentation and Tracking: Ensure Project Managers’ project documentation is accurate, complete, and usable (e.g., Google Drive, Smartsheets, PlanGrid). Assure First Day of Business (FDOB) trackers are updated.
* Communication and Reporting: Conduct weekly progress meetings with Project Managers. Keep the TPM and Project Leads informed about project progress, providing regular updates and addressing concerns. Facilitate clear and open communication among team members. Use the TPM as a partner to work through challenges.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement within the organisation, fostering a culture of innovation and best-practice sharing within the GLMR domain in EMEA.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology) or equivalent.
* 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience within the land mobile radio, telecommunications, or a related industry, with a focus on global operations, particularly within the EMEA region.
* Deep understanding of LMR technologies, protocols, and best practices.
* Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, delivering measurable results.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment, with specific experience navigating the complexities of the EMEA region.
