Our client has been established for more than 60 years and is renowned internationally as market leaders in the provision of packaging solutions for a diverse range of sectors and applications. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2025 and beyond, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Spares Coordinator to complement their professional team.
Core responsibilities for this varied and challenging Telford-based Spares Coordinator role will include (but not be limited to):
1. Spare Parts Management - including order processing and managing customer orders for spare parts, whilst ensuring accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch of parts to customers.
2. Maintaining and updating the spare parts inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking, liaising with suppliers to order parts as required, and monitoring delivery schedules accordingly.
3. Sales and Customer Interaction - providing quotations for spare parts including pricing, lead times, and availability; proactively identifying and pursuing spare parts sales opportunities with new and existing clients; developing strong relationships with customers by providing excellent support and after-sales service at all times.
4. Invoicing and Documentation - including the generation and management of sales invoices for spare parts orders, ensuring all documentation related to orders, shipping, and invoicing is accurate and up-to-date, and addressing any discrepancies or customer queries related to billing as they may arise.
5. Operational Coordination - including collaboration with internal departments such as engineering and logistics to meet customer needs, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to spare parts sales and delivery, and identifying opportunities for process improvements in spare parts operations.
6. Customer Support - providing the highest levels of technical support and advice on spare parts to customers, ensuring compatibility and proper usage, and handling any customer complaints that may arise, resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 2 years of previous experience gained in an inventory management / spares coordinator position, ideally aligned with an engineering or technical manufacturing and distribution environment. They should also demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels and a meticulous approach to detail.
