About the Role
As a Level 2B Learning Support Assistant, you will work with teaching staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. You will also provide specific support to the teacher in the care of pupils and management of the classroom. The primary focus of this role is to undertake specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction of a qualified teacher.
The successful applicant will be supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the school and will demonstrate the following attributes:
• enthusiastic and highly motivated; bringing a sense of energy and passion to the role.
• a high level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE C or above is essential as is a NVQ2 or equivalent Qualification.
• able to use initiative to work independently and flexibly.
• has experience of working with children in a Primary School setting
• loves working with children and forms good relationships with children and adults.
