Job Opportunity: Approved Electrician - Oxfordshire
We are currently seeking a qualified and proactive Approved Electrician to join our Electrical Team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a portfolio of buildings, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across various buildings, including inspection and testing, emergency light testing, PAT testing, and RCD testing.
2. Perform installation of new equipment or replacement/repair of lamps, sockets, and other electrical components.
3. Work both independently and as part of a team, assisting other trades as needed.
4. Maintain good communication with clients and suppliers, ensuring all work is conducted professionally and efficiently.
5. Follow current Health and Safety legislation, applying good practices on the job.
6. Conduct minor building repairs and general maintenance as required.
7. Participate in contractor escort duties when necessary.
8. Adhere to on-call rota and demonstrate flexibility in a demanding work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. 18th Edition in Electrical Installation.
2. NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation).
3. City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Testing and Inspection.
4. City & Guilds 2330 or equivalent NVQ.
5. City & Guilds 2377.
6. Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
7. Full clean driving licence.
8. Familiar with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
9. Strong customer service skills and a focus on delivering quality results.
10. Basic computer knowledge (desirable).
11. IPAF and PASMA certification.
Additional Requirements:
1. Competence with access equipment and handling of minor building repairs.
2. Ability to complete NICEIC certificates and maintain compliance with current wiring regulations.
3. Electrical PPE provided for work as needed.
4. Baseline security clearance would be an advantage.
