Role:
If you love gardens, then you’ll know they need a lot of care and attention. Volunteer gardeners do practical work to help keep the gardens at Felbrigg in peak condition and looking eye-catching.
You will be helping the gardening team with everyday practical tasks to keep the garden looking its best, including:
1. Being a friendly face for visitors and answering any questions.
2. Helping with projects like new planting, clearing overgrown areas, and other seasonal tasks.
3. Ensuring smooth and safe operations by understanding health and safety and evacuation procedures.
4. Being part of a team that may need to adapt to changing circumstances.
Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role and our opening times. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.
About the organisation:
At the National Trust, we protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. We look after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects, along with vast areas of coastline, countryside, and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. With our staff, members, volunteers, and supporters, we’re the biggest conservation charity in Europe. Everyone can get involved, and everyone can make a difference.
