Position: EYFS Practitioner
Location: Nursery within a Primary School, Widnes
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (for the right candidate)
Qualifications Required: Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Children in Education (EYFS focus desirable)
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Practitioner to join our nursery team within a primary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with relevant qualifications who is eager to support the early development of young children and be part of a vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work alongside the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
2. Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities to support children’s early learning, including communication, social, and physical development.
3. Provide one-to-one and small group support, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for all children.
4. Monitor and assess children's progress, working closely with the team to meet each child's individual needs.
5. Support children with personal care where necessary, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being at all times.
6. Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to promote an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
1. Level 2 or 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant, Supporting Children in Education, or similar, ideally with an EYFS focus.
2. A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and the ability to apply it in daily practice.
3. Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
4. A positive, patient, and caring attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young children.
