Customer Experience Manager/Deputy General Manager – Leisure Attraction - Basingstoke Up to £40,000 excellent benefits We are looking for a charismatic organised leader with some sparkle to sprinkle over the service and operational teams and provide a magical and seamless customer experience at this wonderful historical leisure attraction in Basingstoke. Key responsibilities: Recruit, coach and inspire the service teams to deliver an incredible customer experience. Ensure secondary spend opportunities are maximised across retail, food and beverage and events through upselling and promotions. Manage the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring it is clean, safety compliant and in good working order. Manage the venue through the seasonal peaks and troughs of trading, ensuring you have the right people in the right places to improve the customer experience and maximise revenue opportunities. Act as the General Manager in their absence including every other weekend. Support the General Manager on developing the overall business strategy. Working a 37-hour week mainly 9-5 The person Outstanding leadership skills; experienced in coaching, developing, inspiring, influencing, and driving performance of service and operational teams. Service and Operational Management experience within leisure, tourism, entertainment, visitor attraction or hospitality industry possibly as a Deputy/ General Manager, Operations Manager, Guest Experience Manager, Customer Service Manager, Centre Manager or Venue Manager. Experience in driving ancillary income by delivering a superior proactive customer experience. Have your own transport or living local to Basingstoke. Able to work the odd evening for a big event and every other weekend. Ideally have an interest in arts, heritage, and culture and enriching the lives of whole communities.
