HR Assistant
* Job Type: 6 - Month FTC
* Location: Blackburn
* Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 (DoE)
We are seeking an HR Assistant to join a team at a unique institution. This temporary role is based on site in Blackburn. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new employees.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Monitor the HR inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
* Prepare onboarding materials, including welcome packets, employee handbooks, and other necessary documentation for new hires.
* Assist with the completion and submission of new hire paperwork, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. This includes employment contracts, DBS & reference checks, and benefits enrolment forms.
* Input new starter details onto the payroll system.
* Manage the addition of cover and annual leave requests onto the internal HR system, maintaining accurate records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently; this is a busy department and will be a fast-paced role.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Proficiency in using systems and databases.
* Good communication skills to interact with new hires and internal teams.
