Are you an SEN Teacher looking for a role where you can truly change lives? If you’re passionate about working with young people who need extra support, we have an exciting opportunity for you at a fantastic specialist school in Wakefield. What’s the School Like? This is a place where pupils aged 9-16 with additional needs—such as SEMH, ASD, SLCN, and MLD—are supported to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It’s a nurturing environment where staff work together to help pupils build confidence, develop essential skills, and prepare for their futures. What Will You Be Doing? Planning fun, engaging, and accessible lessons for pupils with diverse needs. Creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated. Working closely with support staff to meet individual learning and behavioural needs. Helping students develop emotional regulation and coping strategies. Encouraging independence and self-belief in every pupil. What Do You Need? QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly those with SEMH or ASD. Team Teach training is a bonus but not essential. A positive attitude, patience, and resilience. Why Should You Join Us?
