The CASS Governance & Oversight and UK Outsourcing Governance team is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of the governance frameworks that ensure the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) complies with UK client asset rules set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and outsourcing requirements set by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). The team works closely with Operations, Business, and Product Management across all lines of business within the In-Scope Legal Entities. Additionally, the team partners with Compliance, Audit, and Risk.
As a CASS & UK Outsourcing - Accountability, Governance, and Risk Team Manager - Senior Associate in the CASS Governance & Oversight team, you will be actively involved in the design and implementation of the oversight framework for CASS rules requirements within the CIB, ensuring the CIB’s Client Asset Oversight Officer (CAOO) and relevant Senior Management Functions (SMFs) can deliver on their regulatory responsibilities. You will also be responsible for the oversight of the CASS accountability model, production of CASS and Outsourcing Board and Committee reporting, and performance of the CASS risk. map.
Job responsibilities
* Oversees the accountability model across the team and relevant lines of business in relation to CASS
* Manages the production of regular reporting to relevant Boards, Governance Committees, and senior management
* Oversees the performance of each legal entity's CASS risk map
* Builds strong and collaborative relationships with CASS Accountable Managers across multiple lines of businesses to ensure they have considered and addressed the risks in relation to CASS
* Works with the CASS Governance & Oversight Team and the lines of business to identify and manage key CASS risks in a timely manner
* Assists with any ad hoc CASS tasks or projects when required
* Conducts the day-to-day people management of the CASS Governance & Oversight Accountability, Governance, and Risk team

* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize effectively
* Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to drive change
* Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and to work under pressure to set deadlines

* Knowledge of the various components of the CIB (e.g. how its various functions and businesses are organized) and the CASS rules
