Job Title: Engineering Manager- Electrical Systems
Salary: up to £62,000 per annum dependent upon experience + 10% bonus
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Engineering Manager- Electrical Systems. Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Weymouth, Filton, Portsmouth, Frimley or Manchester and offers the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. You will be joining the Electrical Power Systems Definition team, working on the UK’s next-generation SSN design that incorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the United States. You will be part of the Electrical Power team who are responsible for leading a team of engineers in defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process, including design documentation, spatial modelling and build outputs.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various internal, customer and supplier sites.
Leading & managing an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
* Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies
* Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines

Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering background
* Engineering Chartership required (or equivalent experience demonstrated)
* Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
* You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
