A highly regarded law firm, recognised for its expertise in construction disputes, is seeking an experienced Construction Disputes Solicitor (4+ years PQE) to join its growing team. With offices in the Thames Valley and London, this firm offers the flexibility of office-based or fully remote working, ensuring a supportive and adaptable work environment.
The Opportunity

The role involves working with a diverse client base across the UK, advising on a wide range of construction disputes and contractual matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing cases independently while collaborating with colleagues to deliver top-tier legal services.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Advisory - Advise clients on contractual terms, particularly within the JCT suite of contracts, tailoring guidance to meet their commercial and practical needs.
* Dispute Resolution - Handle disputes relating to defective works, payment claims (both interim and final), delay claims (extensions of time, loss and expense, liquidated damages), and claims against third parties under security arrangements.
* Case Management - Manage litigation cases in the High Court and Technology and Construction Court, as well as alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation and adjudication.
* Strategic Problem-Solving - Provide real-time legal advice on live projects, helping clients minimise risks and strengthen their positions in potential disputes.
* Collaboration and Training - Work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver industry updates, training sessions, and legislative insights to keep businesses informed of key developments.
Candidate Requirements
* 4+ years PQE with experience in construction disputes.
* Strong background in construction contracts, particularly JCT contracts.
* Proven experience handling disputes involving defects, payment claims, delays, and liquidated damages.
* Desirable: Experience with High Court and Technology and Construction Court cases, mediation, and adjudication.
* Specialist expertise in claims against third parties under security arrangements is highly valued.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload effectively.
