Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD/ BIM REVIT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD/ REVIT software. This role is crucial for supporting the design and development of projects across multiple disciplines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all technical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
* Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
* Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop design concepts and translate them into workable plans.
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
* Review designs for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to design work.
* Support the build process by providing necessary drawings and modifications as required.
Experience
* A College Degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
* Some experience in the construction / HVAC industry.
* Experience delivering domestic building energy & heat loss assessments; experience with commercial buildings is a desirable addition.
* Experience with equipment such as heat pumps and associated equipment; experience with additional technology such as Solar PV and/or battery storage is desirable.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
* Experience in creating schematics and detailed drawings for various types of projects is highly desirable.
* A background in engineering is an advantage but not mandatory.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across different disciplines.
