Supporting people to live great lives
At Affinity Trust, we empower people to lead meaningful lives on their own terms. As a support worker, you will play a key role in promoting independence and building social connections. Your support will make a real difference in their lives.
Who will I support?
We are looking for an imaginative and enthusiastic person to join our team supporting 10 people in Goole. You will be working in people’s homes, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. We are looking for people who enjoy getting out into the wider community but are equally ready to get stuck into activities back at home too.
How will I make a difference?
As a support worker you’ll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person’s needs first, this means:
1. You will adapt your support to fit what each person needs and wants daily.
2. You will encourage people to make their own choices, big and small.
3. You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.
4. You will support people to build confidence and life skills.
5. You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
6. You will be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace.
7. You will celebrate people’s achievements, no matter how small they might seem to others.
If you're ready to make a positive impact and support others in achieving their goals, we'd love to hear from you. Join us in creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
If you are offered a role with us, you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check. We will submit your application and pay for your check.
We reserve the right to close this advert early if sufficient applications are received.
We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
