We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our nursery in Kents Hill, Milton Keynes.
The role needs to cover 15 hours per week, working between either 11.00am and 14.00pm, Monday - Friday, working all year round.
The role is paying £9.50 - £11.50 per hour, 15 hours a week.
Duties and Responsibilities
* To be flexible and willing to undertake tasks according to the needs of the whole nursery.
* To inform the Nursery Manager of any problems, concerns or issues which may affect your ability to carry out your responsibilities effectively or which may be affecting the quality of care in the nursery.
* To help maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery at all times.
* To be aware of and to implement effectively all Acorn nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety, equal opportunities, child protection, in compliance with COSHH regulations and within the guidelines as set by OFSTED
* To ensure that the bathroom areas are thoroughly clean and hygienic at all times, ensuring the dispensers are fully stocked.
* To ensure surfaces are clear and tidy where possible
* To ensure that all areas always have an adequate supply of tabards, bibs, flannels, bedding and paper towels etc
* To ensure that all laundry is up to date
* To clear eating areas and ensuring tables and chairs are thoroughly cleaned after use.
* Be a reliable member of the team, working co-operatively and with flexibility.
* To have a professional approach to cleaning.
* General dusting of the nursery where needed
* Provide ratio cover in the nursery when required
* To be willing to undertake under training needs relevant to the role
