DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a German-speaking Compliance Quality Control Specialist to join Amazon's Registration and Compliance (R&C) team.
In this role, you will focus on auditing and improving Amazon's payment systems to ensure they follow all necessary compliance rules.
You will work with various teams to help improve processes, reduce risks, and ensure high-quality operations.
Key job responsibilities
1. Perform quality audits to assess and improve the effectiveness of other auditors in the team.
2. Work closely with operations, Audit and Insights (AIT), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) teams to share findings and suggest improvements.
3. Provide guidance on audit best practices, lead meetings, and offer solutions to improve processes.
4. Develop and update procedural documents, guides, and reports to improve operations.
5. Share your knowledge through written feedback and professional advice to help the team continuously improve.
6. Analyze various products and services to find ways to improve controls and compliance measures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree
2. 2 years experience in Compliance/AML, risk or assurance functions
3. Fluent in German and English (+B2)
4. Working knowledge of financial institutions, money service business, and/or banking compliance in EU, including knowledge of anti-money laundering, and tax compliance.
5. Strong problem solving and operational process skills and attention to detail
6. Proven ability to effectively articulate concerns and provide cohesive feedback to leadership and colleagues.
7. Intermediate+ Excel working knowledge
8. High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a fast growth and changing environment
9. Ability to work within a matrixed environment and cross functionally with operations and technology functions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master's degree in Compliance, Risk or Business
2. CAMS Certification or other Compliance certification such as CRCM or CR
