Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Afternoons) + Full Day on Friday

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Alnwick. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to the pupil, promoting learning and development.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment.
* Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team.
* Support the pupil’s emotional well-being and social skills.
* Implement strategies to manage challenging behavior effectively.
Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH.
* Experience working with vulnerable children is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
