As ABP continue the journey of investing and developing their East Anglia Marina’s, we are looking to recruit a Marina Supervisor to join our small and dedicated team in Lowestoft. As a Marina Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the marina and ensuring we offer our leisure and commercial customers an excellent experience during their stay with us. Purpose Reporting to the Marina Manager East Anglia, the purpose of this role is to lead the team to deliver a safe, profitable, customer service driven Marina in Lowestoft in accordance with the business plan. Working in collaboration with all functions to ensure the Marina facilities are maintained, reflecting the Marina’s principles, policies, and procedures. Accountabilities Ensure that the Marina is in full compliance with the health and safety legislation, the Company’s health and safety policy and guidelines, and all recognized safe working practices. Oversee the promotion and Branding of the Marina, to include advertising, exhibitions, meetings, direct mail, and other special events including boat shows whilst ensuring that all material presented is well planned and presented. In liaison with the Marina Manager, manage the finances of the Marina, preparing and monitoring business plans and overseeing the management accounts, payroll, ordering, stock-taking and creditors and debtors. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity in all the marina operations. Ensure to develop and maintain healthy working relationships with all marina users including leisure and commercial customers and tenants and assume the point-of-contact responsibilities as per the Marina operations requirements. Develop and organise documents and reports for the Marina Manager as necessary. Completing lifting operations, operating the 70T Boat Hoist Carry out all other duties as may reasonably be required for the smooth running of the marina and work alongside the Ipswich Beacon Marina supervisory team and team members to ensure alignment of the Beacon Marina Collection People management Ensure to recruit suitable employees in accordance with the Marina’s procedures and standards, following the workforce plans and budgets agreed upon. Allocate work to direct reports, identify employees for training as per the organisations’ guidelines and conduct job performance reviews to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Supervise direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counselling. Provide recommendations for development and succession planning. Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel, Havenstar (in house system)) Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills Ideal Experience in lifting operations – Wise hoist / forklift / plant.
