You will be working within the BBC Local Business, Management & Administration team.
The purpose of the role within the BBC is to provide comprehensive administrative assistance to managers and team members within a nominated team(s). The role will be responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks, e.g., handling/directing queries, maintenance of records, coordination of projects and activities, and acting as the first point of contact for the team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

What will you be studying?
You’ll study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This apprenticeship will allow you to deepen your knowledge with hands-on experience, assisting various projects across the BBC, which will develop your understanding of business management and your future career pathway.
Where could the role take you?
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to look for permanent entry-level corporate and business job opportunities inside or outside the BBC.
This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed-term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship, which is 18 months.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
* Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts in September 2025
* By the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years.
* Be eligible to work in the UK full-time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract.
* Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
To apply for this scheme, you must also:
* Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved English and Maths at Level 2 by the start of your apprenticeship, you will be required to achieve this before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end-point assessment.
* Not already be studying or have completed a Business Administration qualification at level 3 or above.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PLACEMENT
The BBC Local Business, Management and Administration Team supports regional TV, Audio and Online teams across England. You will be working as part of a team of business management and administration staff in the Yorkshire and East Yorkshire region. We provide a wide range of business support services, which includes the contracting and scheduling of resources, including staff, facilities and equipment, in accordance with production and transmission requirements, terms and conditions and objectives of the operational areas. As well as managing contracts for freelancers and other external contributors.
