Senior Actuarial Trainee - Pensions

This is a senior actuarial trainee role with significant flexibility in terms of location and hours:
* Option to work fully remotely
* But relocation to Guernsey is supported
* Full-time or part-time
* ‘Term time only’ is an option
The vast majority of our staff are located in our Guernsey office but we have several fully remote workers throughout the business, working from their homes throughout Europe.
What you would be doing:
You would be supporting the work of the Actuarial Pensions team which provides actuarial consultancy services to UK, Channel Island, Isle of Man and international pension schemes. The role includes:
* Checking calculations for actuarial valuations or other actuarial consultancy advice
* Checking/drafting reports to communicate results to clients
* Assisting junior members of staff and allocating workflows
* Supporting managers and partners
Who you will be reporting to:
* Partner, Actuarial Pensions
Skills and experience required:
* Experience in an actuarial role of at least 3 years
* Experience working with defined benefit pension schemes (desirable)
* A Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent) with good progress through the exams
* Intermediate use of word, excel and email are a minimum requirement
* Knowledge of UK pensions regulations (desirable but not essential)
